TAFE NSW & Design Centre Enmore Present
27 & 28 Nov 2024
@ The Enmore Theatre
TAFE NSW and its Industry and Community Partners would like to invite you to participate in SWAG! The second annual Sydney Wearable Art Gala competition.
In November 2024, Sydney’s established and emerging wearable art creators are invited to showcase their outrageous designs on stage at the iconic Enmore Theatre in front of a live audience.
SWAG is an exciting opportunity for wearable art makers to step out of the studio and on to the stage, and demonstrate their amazing skills while also raising money for charity.
This year's theme is VAUDEVILLE and in the spirit of classic variety shows the Gala will also include Wearable Art performances that combine theatre & costume in ways that are sure to blow your mind.
The 2024 Gala will be Hosted by the legendary Murray Cook (The original Red Wiggle!) and will also feature a panel of industry experts, including Kirsten Junor (recycling and sustainability expert), Rene Rivas (celebrated costume designer), Tim Chappel (Academy Award winning costume designer for ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’) and Thursday evening VIP guest judge: Jenny Kee (fashion designer extraordinaire).
Prize packages will be awarded to winners in each category, plus an additional Young Achievers Award for entrants 16-20 years old.
